That One Friend

On the canvas of life, a singular figure stands,

A beacon of light in the shifting sands.

The bonds we forge, a treasure to defend,

But none compare to 'That One Friend.'

Not in the crowd, nor the limelight's grace,

Yet a steadfast presence you can't replace.

A smile that lifts like the morning sun,

Through thick and thin, he’s the chosen one.

No need for whispers or grand display,

His loyalty speaks in every way.

Through highs and lows, he stands nearby,

A silent strength that won't run dry.

In laughter's echo and tears we shed,

He understands words left unsaid.

With him, the masks we wear, we can mend,

A true companion, 'That One Friend.'

In stormy seas or skies serene,

His kindness flows like a river clean.

Never seeking praise or fame's ascent,

His heart's a gift, heaven-sent.

When troubles weigh and hope feels lost,

'That One Friend' holds the line, no matter the cost.

A fabric of memories he helps weave,

A friend like this, you'll always believe.
